Some ideas emerge quietly.
Not as a grand plan, but as a thought that keeps returning. A sense that something is missing. A space where certain conversations can take place.
That’s how FoundHer Club began.
Behind FoundHer Club is Maria Mawuena. An entrepreneur and creative founder. Through her work, she has long moved within creative and digital environments, where ideas, design, and new projects are constantly in motion.
At the same time, another thought began to take shape.
In a time where many communities exist online, and where gatherings are often organised around work or networking, she began to reflect on where people actually meet for the sake of conversation. Not to achieve something specific, but to exchange perspectives, share ideas, and experience the particular energy that emerges in meaningful conversations.
Historically, such spaces have existed in the form of salons. Small cultural meeting points where people gathered around literature, art, philosophy, and life itself. Not as institutions, but as living environments where ideas could emerge and evolve over time.
That thought slowly began to take form.
What if you created a modern space for that kind of conversation?
A place where women could gather around culture, creativity, and a shared curiosity about the world.
FoundHer Club was born from exactly that idea.
Not as a traditional network or a conventional club, but as a cultural space. A place where women meet through conversations, experiences, and ideas, and where connections form more naturally through shared interests and curiosity.
At its centre is the intention to create a particular atmosphere. A place where people feel inspired, where conversations are allowed to unfold, and where new perspectives can emerge through the meeting of different experiences.
Over time, the vision has become clearer: FoundHer Club is a modern salon. A place where women gather around culture, life, and creativity.
All meaningful places begin with an idea.
A thought about creating a space where something distinct can emerge.
For FoundHer Club, it began with a curiosity about conversations, people, and the ideas that arise when the two meet.
And perhaps that is exactly how the most interesting places always begin.
